I bought a B/C PS3 some time ago, which had a replaced BD drive and no-disk CFW. As I wanted it as a main system, I managed to fix the BD and installed OFW. It was fine, but I left it turned on for a few hours in a confined space. When I came back the fan was really loud and there were artifacts on the screen. I turned it off from the back rocker switch and after that it turned on few times, showing artifacts after few minutes. Later it stopped turning on at all with GLOD.
Would this be a good contender for a Frankenstein mod? What can I test? I have some basic knowledge and Syscon reader.
