Hello everyone!
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but I'm new here!
TLDR: CECHG04 PS3 3034 errors in syscon, but turns on now.
Pulled out of storage my old CECHG04 PS3. It got YLOD back in the day, but I was able to get it working temporarily a couple of years ago by following ifixits guide (heatgun, new thernal pads and thermal paste) and yeah, we all now that didn't work for long.
Now surprisingly, the PS3 started today without any issues and I was able to get a syscon dump via ps3toolset.com, which was the following:
From my understanding, the 3034 means the RSX is probably dead, or dying? So if I want to try for a more longterm fix I would have to do a reball, or a frankenstein, which would be silly on a CECHG04 which has no backwards compatibility. This is my OG PS3 from 2008, so any insight on my situation would be appreciated.
Thanks
