PS3 New to PSX-Place, looking to fix my PS3 (CECHL04) YLOD

Hello everyone, I've joined this forum as I've already been here to install custom firmware and homebrew on a PS3 Slim that is still working perfectly. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, after not touching my original PS3 (CECHL04) for about a year, I was about to do my yearly "let's experience this old gem" session when all of a sudden it abruptly shutdown while on the XMB menu.

I have managed to get the console working long enough to extract the syscon error codes through the ps3toolset.com website. Here are the error codes:

After some research, I believe this might be a problem with the NEC/Tokins on the RSX side. I'm no electrical engineer, but my computer science background makes me believe that when the RSX reaches certain frequencies, the NEC/Tokins fail to deliver the appropriate power which results in the system shutting down. Hence the 1002 error (RSX) followed by the 2124 error (HDMI/AV) due to the abrupt shutdown.

I would love to revive this console due to the sentimental value. So, if anyone would be able to guide me or assist me through the repair, I would wholeheartedly appreciate and thank you for it.

Wishing whoever reads this a wonderful day :)

I have a CECHL00 that had YLOD, pulling syscon showed the same 1002 and 2124.

Replaced one RSX NEC Tokin and the console has been running great since.
