PS3 cechL01 probem

I have a cechL01 that I got without a bd, this was before fw3.0 when you could play psn games without a bd,
it worked fine. then I updated it and it got red screen, I put it away until the remarry files came out.
I remarryed it fine, but still red screen. when ever I install firmware in fsm, the log file shows a failed
error code, a revoke error, but the fw gets installed. I installed rogero downgrader and can run apps,
blue ray movie playback is prohibited ( cant fix with multiman )
it will play games, but if a game requires a save file, they will not work, since all save files show
as corrupted in the xmb, fifa 09 plays fine since it doesnt require a save file
apps save their configurations fine
I have installed 4.8x cfws with same results corrupted save files
the hardware all works fine, usb's, wireless, network, bd

anyone know what the problem is, and what can be done for this unit
 
if i we're you,i would first try to flash 4.82 overflow v5 noBD and after do a full restore from recovery.

just wondering why you would suggest a nobd cfw, since the bd does work.
its just when a game creates savedata something is incorrect
I have repaired many ps3's with all types of different problems
but have never come across something like that, or, blue ray movie playback prohibited on a nor console
 
CECHLs are known for having bad NOR chips and are prone to RSOD. Either try with RSOD fix pkg or replace NOR chip entirely
 
The problem is VTRM area in flash, thats what causes the infamous RSOD screens
That damage in the VTRM area could have been caused by a bad block phisically damaged matching it... or maybe is just the data has ben corrupted at some point
