@Evilnat thanks for the excellent work.
I have a curious minor bug though when using 16:9 Aspect Ratio on AV Cable (TV doesn't output HDMI)
*Keyboard doesn't work at all
*Some text are missing somehow like the agreement before updating firmware doesn't show any text. There could be more but these are the ones i found so far.

i have a question when my ps3 loses connect to the internet it cant reconnect until i disable syscall8 or if i restart my ps3 is there a wzy to fix this cuz ill try reconnecting to psn and it will psn disabled and i have to go through thoses steps to get it back on so any help would be how and thank you in advance if you can solve my issue

It's sony' fault, install the .2 BETA or @sandungas resolution fix.

Hi,
I don't know if I'm being seriously dumb here but...
I'm currently on 4.89 HFW with HEN
CFW capable console
I've used bgtoolset to save original flash and patch new flash
When I goto system update I continually get the ERROR 'The data is corrupted. (8002F957) @ 70% whilst files are copying.
I have downloaded the .pup several times.

I've tried to search for this error but quite frankly it's messing with my melon now :(

@Justine Richards it's not intended for HFW i think. Stick to CFW process as i did. Just update to regular OFW should be your starting point then follow the backup and patching process as usual on your flash chip. Then install 4.89 Evilnat CFW from there

Why would you connect to S0ny server on a CFW? There are some workarounds if you ate just trying to make your backups work
I think you just got disconnected from PSN not your WiFi

Error 'The data is corrupted. (8002F957) means that your PS3 is still in OFW/HFW, coreOS has not been successfully patched via toolset.

It's also idea to check if your USB is not corrupting during transfer process somehow, check the MD5 hash of the firmware before flashing it

well the thing is when it does that i cant play any of my downloaded ps2 games or my psp games nothing i cant play anything on webman or any of my gb emulators

*go into Network Tab—>Custom Firmware Tools—>PSN Tools—>Create accountID+Activate Account

It basically works the same as when you are logging in your PSN and activating the system but without using S*ny servers. Also I'm not sure if the CFW supports on the fly license patching when trying to run game backups like in Hen. But there's also an option for License Rap file conversion built in the CFW tools.

Did you check the MD5 checksum of the PUP after you copied it to the USB drive?. Perhaps the drive has some bad sectors.
 
um i ran into an issue some how my psn id is being used by another system it says but the user id i had was for my account but nobody knows my email or password my problem is how do i remove or fix the fake id and change it back to my original id that was assigned to my ps3

Just create a new user in PS3 and use that for your main PSN or vice versa
