PS3 Cfw install data by corupted

ps3 cfw the data is corrupted 8002f169. I tried googleing that question and did find a good answer. So I used the new ps3toolset patched my friends ps3. He is on firmware 4.87, and I tried installing rebug rex 4.84.2 it gave me this error, tried 4.86.1 lite. I couldn't install it so I reverted back to the official 4.87 over the patch. Any advice. Thank you dom.

You need to install a 4.87 CFW, you can not downgrade before you QA flag.

Try again with Evilnat 4.87.2 and it will install/

Did you install CFW 4.87 first and QA toggled the PS3 to be able to downgrade? You will not be able to install any firmware under 4.87 if you not QA toggle it first.
