Hi, please i am confusing & i didn't understand the note on wiki CFW2OFW Compatibility List about BCES01893 it said :
Download updates using CFW2OFW THEN convert the game using PS3GameConvert v.0.91 and only select updates up to 15 then resign the game and the reset of updates with Ps3Xploit-Resigner then install them to PS3. Enjoy.
what does that mean ? because i found about 10GB updates for this game.

Best regards.

Exactly what it says....

Use CFW2OFW to download your game updates.
Then, use ps3gameconvert to convert your game (instead of CFW2OFW) before resigning.

GT is known for its crazy number of updates, all quite large in size also. But unfortunately, that's how this game works with CFW2OFW.

Thanks for that quick reply,
just to be more clear, what if i downloaded the updates via PSNStuffX or PS3 Game Updates and put them manually on patch folder ?

The most annoying part of GT6 updates is that after you download and install them, the game needs to "unpack" them during launch and it takes AGES to finish... I remember leaving my PS3 for like half a day until the update setup was completed and I could play a race.

Whichever way you obtain these updates, it does not matter.
You just have to arrange the folder structure correctly... (been a while since I used CFW2OFW)

Definitely a game you need some time to setup.
By the time I had downloaded, installed/unpacked all updates, I gave up on wanting to play lol

What if i converted the game without updates ? because i dont care about online or anything else , just need to race against my friend LOL , is that ok ?

The way the CFW2OFW trick works requires at least one available update for your game. This update is what gets "exploited", not the actual game itself.

btw, did you try the original note from the Wiki (convert using PS3GameConvert and the first 15 patches)?
maybe it only works if you follow those instructions.
I think this person was looking for a method that doesn't involve downloading 10gb+ of updates lol.
YES, i want a method that NOT include download such 10GB updates, at this moment i'm retrying again, because i found that USRDIR\GT.VOL +15GB was splitted, i repack to one file and i'm waitting for result.

As i promissed to report my tests & finaly it worked 100% without any 10GB updates.
1- I worked on this version : BCES01893-[Gran Turismo6]
2- I converted the game using : PS3GameConvert_v0.91 using the update EP9001-BCES01893_00-0000000000000000-A0106-V0100-PE.pkg (294MB)
3- I made backup using (make-backup-pkg)
4- I resign the files using (PS3xploit-resigner-3.0.0)
5- I install it as usual.
6- I removed the game data from Game Data Utility folder
7- I goes back to pc and i resign update pkgs using (PS3xploit-resigner-3.0.0) i've resign only those two updates 1.02 & 1.22 (1.22 to shutdown request update popup message because it work with 1.02 only)
8- Now install the resigned two updates starting from the old than the newest.
9- Enjoy the game.

The problems i've faced before :
1- My PS3 console goes blackscreen and hang.
2- When i start the after deleting data restart and return xmb menu.
