Not sure if anyone still likes making the old style coldboots but if you do here's my coldboot tool I use for automated coldboot making,
if you pre make the dds files in photoshop it should take less than 2 minutes to make,
you'll need photoshop with dds plugins to edit the dds files, anyone needs it let me know i'll upload it all,

yes, because only white, grey, and black r displayed. I've tried hexing a colored coldboot into a coldboot with a white coldboot script, and it came up as a garbled mess.

I've managed to do it with tizzy t's tool quite easily actually the only thing is it would be alot better if I could make the white background transparent. if you could do that or let me know how ill inbox you the picture. let me know. and thanks for your help

I'm not sure what u mean exactly, but what's displayed with a colored coldboot is everything that's in the alpha. the rest of the image will be transparent. even if u have images all over the place, the only portion that will be displayed is what's in the alpha.

I'm not sure what u mean exactly, but what's displayed with a colored coldboot is everything that's in the alpha. the rest of the image will be transparent. even if u have images all over the place, the only portion that will be displayed is what's in the alpha.

I know just what you're wanting I can do it with a program I have don't have Photoshop but I'm able to do what you're looking for I use gimp instead

I don't unfortunately just this one and few others with same background. would it not be possible to colour the background in with paint or something. I'll try and let you know

I'm sure I can do it, it'll just take a little longer for pixel edits

only the alpha will be displayed. a normal alpha will have a black background with the image to be displayed as white. I can't recall if saving it as a dds creates the alpha automatically or not. @bitsbuba could use the lasso tool to create an alpha if it doesn't. I know I've had to do that a few times. the image itself normally has a white background, so ur safe with that.

I've never used gimp I always use photoshop, people always tell me gimp is good,
bare in mind I am very fluent in photoshop but if it's worth it I would spend a bit of time getting used to it.
Do you think it's worth me trying it out ?

I hear not as good as PS as I never use PS but for a free and open source app it's pretty great
