PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Just in case you want to do something with it. I did some work on 0x12 command. Here is marvel example:

Code:
Title : Marvel Nemesis - Rise of the Imperfects
Game ID : SLUS_212.81
Hash : 0x5CA15DF1C5
Hash Offset : 33E6D8
Commands offset : 345EA8
Commands count : 0x1
    [GX] Command ID : 0x10
    [Net] Command ID : 0x12
        Data Offset : 0032311C
        Data Number : 00000009
            Param 1 : 04FFF000 (unk)
            Param 2 : 00000000 (unk)
            Param 3 : 00030002 (type 2, count 3)
            Param 4 : 00000011 (TPC register value while hit EE offsets below (param 8,9) )
            Param 5 : 5DCE7F7A (CRC of something, highly possible VU registers, or VU mem)
            Param 6 : 00000214 (Seems to be new TPC value if 2 above checks passed)
            Param 7 : 00020003 (type 3, count 2)
            Param 8 : 10557688 ( YYXXXXXX Interlock (seems to be) and EE offset (for sure) )
            Param 9 : 10558708 ( YYXXXXXX Interlock (seems to be) and EE offset (for sure) )

Overally subcommands 2, and 3 are meant to be used together. And are responsible for sync VU with EE, in 99% cases they replace m-bit handling. It seems to be very easy solution. Hit problematic TPC (remember that TPC multiply by 8 before execution), run until correct state is archived by CRC checks, go to new address and stop/start new VU microprogram.

About PCSX2 solution, and overall mbit. For now ALL pc emulators run VU on bad speed. It was find out recently by dobbiestation devs/contributors that VU run at 300mhz, not 150 how pcsx2, and other run it. So is hard to tell that issue really exist in pcsx2 or not for now. I'm not even sure that netemu run VU at correct speed now.

Btw. PSI seems to have access to some documents related to our belowed netemu :D

Maybe we can find those "news group" somewhere. :D

are there any config for the game Blood omen 2 Pal ?
the textures are wrong when they are far from the character ... and they appear correctly when he is close

No known config that I know about, but I also have Blood Omen 2 (SLES-50771) and find it more than playable. I have noticed some minor graphical glitches at times, but I personally don't find it bad enough to be distracting or take away from my enjoyment of the game :)

there are quite a few flaws in my game ... especially doors, windows, and buildings...
maybe the solution found in soul reaver 2 ... could help ... i think

I cannot send pm I am a new user ...
Can you talk to me to see if I can?

thank you very much in a while I try it ...
and check if the error of the textures have disappeared

I don't know if anyone has said/looked into this before...what's up with the visual quality of this emulator?

I always thought playing games through this looked better, but after side by side comparison with my PS2 it looks a lot worse! The PS2 with high quality component cables looks very sharp, while the PS3 tends to look blurry and washy. I've tried both normal upscaling and no upscaling, but none seem to make a discernible difference to match the original PS2.

Additionally, CECHA01 looks better than original PS2 hardware (I watched a comparison on YouTube so this isn't 100% confirmed), while netemu doesn't. I don't like the look of smoothing either since it just blurs the picture even more! I'm not quite sure why, but the overall visual quality is worse. Any idea?

Smoothing in that emu is "black magic" for me. Is not usual PS3 side stuff, as it hard break some games IPU (vide Disaster Report, Valkirie Profile2 (and all TriAce library), etc. ).
About upscalling, this is tricky part here, it seems to be done just by shaders. I extracted, and decompiled all of them in the past. But never made any useful thing from my research. Mostly because i have no knowledge about Nvidia Cg. I bet that this stuff looks really different on models with GS, but i never really looked into that.

I wish I could capture some differences between the two consoles (PS2 and netemu), but I don't have any capturing equipment. I was playing Kuon the other day and I decided to do a side-by-side comparison flipping between HDMI and component signals and the PS3 just looks blurry in comparison.

The shaders are present even when upscaling is turned off? I always thought upscaling turned off made the picture better (and corrected the weird aspect ratio that upscaling gives). Maybe there's a way to force disable any shaders used by the emu?

Hmm, probably shaders are disabled. Maybe is just some hardware analog to digital stuff then. Hard to tell to be honest, i never did some serious comprassion. I always was aware that ps2netemu make it worse than PS2, but at time when i had PS3, my PS2 wasn't really used.

Salut @kozarovv.

==> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DLA7OUCE7NFtFYgA0D6RzWatYWa7AUuIxFV-nKOtSVU/edit#gid=0
ainsi que le lien vers le formulaire :
==> https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1bEUUbEJd7DY5DCr2neG8SSH-tXVS09146xTzjrK3-4s/viewform

Voila, si cela peut aider, j'en suis le plus heureux.

In English via Google-trad :

If I can afford it, here is a slightly old accounting list that I still manage and which allows you to quickly view the games that we have tested my friends and myself.
I will update it very soon but only if it is considered useful otherwise it will remain in the current state.
This list was made up of consoles in CFW (REBUG for the most part) but we have redone the tests on consoles in HFW-4.85.1 / HEN-3.00 and the tests will be implemented in this compatibility list. The games tested are mainly games in PAL format but I created a form to allow the entry of all types of games. The "BIN.ENC" format is necessarily accepted.

If you consider (@kozarovv) that this list can live and therefore that it is useful, I agree to modify it so that it is more "English-speaking" and that its form is also in English, what do you think ???

Here is the link to this list on the "Google-sheet":
==> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DLA7OUCE7NFtFYgA0D6RzWatYWa7AUuIxFV-nKOtSVU/edit#gid=0
as well as the link to the form:
==> https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1bEUUbEJd7DY5DCr2neG8SSH-tXVS09146xTzjrK3-4s/viewform
Voila, if it helps, I'm the happiest.

I think that will be best to merge that list with psdevwiki one. And opposite merge pswiki list with that. :)

yes,but i played a little,cant sure can finished
it's offical ps2 classic game
Official classic have config that disable smoothing in emulator ;) There is simple test for that. Run any iso, there will be option to in PS button menu to change smoothing settings (other settings --> smoothing iirc). But when you run this classic, that option will be not available.
