Completely lost. Hacked PS3 slim [CECH2001A]

Hey guys I hacked my PS3 slim YEARS ago, and I completely forgot everything. All I know is the following:

running 4.81/4.82
with Rebug Toolbox 02.02.12

I just want to backup all my ps3 games to my 2TB external
and be able to play them and PSP/PS2 and such.

Is there a way to factory reset my console and start from anew?

You can factory reset while on CFW (Rebug) and you will not lose your jailbreak. Just go to settings > system > restore PS3 system. You can also do it from the recovery menu aka safe mode.

TBH there is really no need to change anything, if you want to you can just update to recent CFW via USB and keep all your existing files/saves/media/games. You probably should update your homebrew, but even that will probably all work fine. very little has changed since 4.82.

I still use 4.82 to this day but that's only because I just use my ps3 to play backups and I really don't like using my disc drive. Yeah like devil said, there's no point in resetting the ps3 unless you just wanna start all over and relearn everything but yet again, you could just refresh your self with the fourms.
