PS2 Connection gets lost

I don't know where to put this, but I use the Ethernet method to play my PS2 games.

Sometimes, or all the time now, when I load OPL to play games stored on my computer, the connection gets lost and my PS2 slim says it can't connect or when I play a game, it crashes.

I've tried many methods:
  • port forward 445
  • change logons
  • change IP
  • change passwords
All these I've done and it's done nothing to solve my problem.

Has anyone encountered this?

EDIT: I should add, it's v1.2.0-Beta-2199. Sorry I didn't add this.

You must enable port 445 by adding a rule in the firewall, in addition to enabling SMBv1, which is disabled by default in Windows.

However, it is not recommended to do so due to the security vulnerability.

For that, use OPL Server that will do everything automatically and without putting you in danger.

follow this guide:

I am not sure if you know what Beta stands for, so here is the explanation:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle#Beta.

So if you have a problem with more stable v1.0.0 and with recent beta 2199 in most causes there is something wrong with your config.
If everything is fine with OPL v1.0.0. but not with 2199 beta then there might be a problem with this beta release.

OK, man.

If that doesn't work, should I try 1.10 as well?

I think I should add that sometimes the connection is up, and sometimes it gets lost.

I don't know what to do. Should I specify my PS2 serial number?
