PS3 Console Total Powered On Time (WebMAN Mod 1.47.25.3+ feature)

It's only wrong if you view total powered time to be locked to the pcb, it's better to lock it to the cpu. Since that's where the brunt of work occurs.

Take this as hearsay since I can't find where I originally read it, but I believe the CELL is married to the motherboard much like other components are. If you are saying that reballing the original CPU would somehow wipe the power on count I believe that's incorrect.

The cell is married to the pcb... sort of? It's more specifically married to the nand/nor and the syscon iirc. So you could probably swap them to a different pcb is the pcb itself was fubar.

Yep, that's what I was thinking of. I probably read it when looking to see if you could transplant a newer model CELL onto an older model board like you can with some RSX models.

Forgot to attach proof of my CECHB01. It was a used pick up about a year ago, inside was CAKED with dust and filth. Smelled like it came from a smoker's house. Amazed it has survived so long.

And here is a CECHA01, also was filthy but I gave it a bath and a repaste when it came into my possession. Another high mileage unit still ticking. at 428 days

I think I currently hold the records for highest mileage A01 and B01 units :P

My first PS3 ever, CECH-2504B. I got it last week. Warranty sticker was still intact, but dropped off as soon as i touched it. Two rubber feet is missing. I didn't have webMAN when i decided to repaste it, expecting a dirty console but internals were really clean. Fan have a little rattling noise, noticable especially at lower speeds (not really a problem at manual 35% though) model is Delta KSB1012HE. Not really surprised after i saw it was a Delta, after experiencing it in a PS4, lol.

Btw, time ago i was speculating in this thread about where are stored this counters
CELL and SYSCON are married, when you move them to a different motherboard you are taking with you the counters, also both are processors so technically both could be able to run timers and sum values in a counter
We never was able to "unmarry" or "remarry" CELL and SYSCON, but since the syscon keys was published some weeks ago i guess now is posible

Right now i think the counters should be inside SYSCON but i dont have any proof, i guess the better proof would be to find that values inside syscon eeprom
Or the hard(ware) way... by remarring CELL to a different SYSCON and see who keeps the counters :D

The bad fame of delta brand caused by the PS4 is not justifyed btw, they mostly builds fans and other stuff for industrial equipment, that kind of stuff uses to be very solid and high quality
Additionally they have some fans for PC but most of them doesnt follows the standard, time ago i had to buy a (non-standard dimmensions) fan for a custom PC case and after googling i had only 3 or 4 options... the most expensive of them was a delta, i bought the delta and was very good (and silent)

The delta fans manufactured for sony playstations... dunno... as said delta builds stuff for industrial equipment and they are going to build whatever you order them in bulk amounts... if sony asks them to build a fan for 2$ they just does it

Sony asks to Nidec too, but they aren't bad. Delta fans are noisier in consoles. I wonder how they can be so bad, it's almost like intentional.

I am install a new hdd on my ps3 can directly install hfw 4.85
Rather than installing ofw 4.85 than convert to hfw
