PS2 Controller not working on backups

Hi, I have SCPH-30004R with FMCB. Problem is that only Dualshock 2 works with backups launched with OPL and ESR. Dualshock 1 and third party controller doesn't work (but they work with original disk games). Any fix for this?

I use FMCB 1.966 and OPL 1.0.0 (I tried daily build but same problem). Also enabling Mode 6 and PADEMU doesn't work.
 
All games do not work with DS1 through ESR or OPL?

PADEMU is for DS3\DS4.

Does your console have any modchip?
 
I think the logitech (action) wireless controller contains a button to switch between psx and ps2 modes. that's what I use. if you have the wrong one initiated, the controller will not respond.

I remember that I played a few games with DS1 on PS2 with this version (0.9.3).
Tested on SCPH-39004R, 50004, 90004.

Some games that require DS2 of course did not fully launch.
I mean that they gave me "Please insert a DS2 constroller..." almost at boot.

Which version of ESR you are using?
ESR r9b or r10f?

Can you list a few games that you have?

Same problem with 0.9.3.

The games for me don't show "Please insert a DS2 constroller...", they normally launch
but the controller doesn't respond.

I am using ESR r10f.

I tried it with Need For Speed Underground 2, Tomb Raider Anniversary, Mafia and NHL 06.
 
This is something new for me...
I have Tomb Raider: Anniversary but I do not have any 3rd party controller or DS1...

Could you please try at least two (2) of these games on another console (e.g. SCPH-700XX or higher) of course through OPL?

Something similar happens to me with my DS2 and games launched through OPL. I just launch de game, if the controller doesn't work I unplug it and plug it back again and it works. Happened to me on NFS U2, but as I said, with an original DS2. Maybe try that

I tested Tomb Raider Anniversary (PAL version) with OPL and the dualshock 1 perfectly works.

I played the game from internal HDD, maybe the device matters?
