Hi everyone!

I just cant make pops work fine. I would like to play Metal gear solid or some other multi cd games.

I copied the elf files to the apps folder so that it could be launched from the menu via OPL. Otherwise it would only work from ElfLauncher. Here there are folders created with the game names and in them are the elf files and title.cfg. In the POPS folder are the VCD files and the VMC folders. In the VMC folder is DISCS.txt. This contains the names of the VCDs, which are the discs. The extensions are also correct.

I'm starting the second disc of Metal Gear Solid to test it, and it doesn't ask for the first one at start, it just says press start. Then nothing happens. I tried with Resident Evil 2. I started the second disc and the game started, which in theory shouldn't be allowed without saves. Then when I tried to change discs, nothing happened. When I pressed open the lid, the game froze.

My OPL version: OPL_v1.2.0.6
POPS: Beta 06 POPStarter_r13_WIP_07_OBT
PS2 fat SCPH-50004

Disc images cannot be placed on the same dir as POPStarter executable duplicated for APPS category in OPL.
All discs must be written in DISCS.TXT (case sensitive).
And you cannot press button on console but button combo for discs changing for target disc number.

POPStarter Wiki, multi-disc instructions.

As Berion said, make sure your DISCS.TXT file name is all uppercase. It has to be named DISCS.TXT, not DISCS.txt.
Press :but select:+:but l2:+:but r2:+:dir right: to prepare the second disc. When the game tells you to insert disc 2, press :but select:+:but l2:+:but r2:+:but tri: to simulate lid open, then press :but select:+:but l2:+:but r2:+:but square: to close the lid.

Is your POPStarter the latest version? If not, update it.
