PS2 Created Simple Volume on FHDB Drive, is it too late?

Hello, I've had a modded PS2 with an SSD full of games for a couple years now. I wanted to add more games to it today, which I haven't done in a while. I definitely made some mistakes, I connected the SSD to my PC, didn't see it in file explorer or WinHIIP. I checked disk manager and saw the drive, so I created a simple volume (I know now that I shouldn't have). Now it says it needs to be formatted in order to be used. I tried putting it back in my PS2 and just opens the vanilla menu. Is there anything I can do to save the drive without formatting it? I don't want to have to reinstall all of my games since this is a really long process. Any and all help is appreciated, and please let me know if you need any more information. Thank you.

To be honest I doubt that this "journey" will end good...

Anyway try to use LaunchELF.
"FileBrowser" -> "MISC/" -> "HddManager"

If it is connected and formatted then something probably can be done.
If it is connected but not formatted I am not sure if I can be helpful (maybe someone else can).

EDIT: try it with one of these wLaunchELF:

I'm 99% sure I already had LaunchElf on my drive (I followed the Great PS2 AIO guide). I tried putting the drive back in, I still get the vanilla menu, and the drive doesn't even show up in the browser.. I assume I just gotta reformat and set it all up again and reinstall all the games, which is annoying and completely my fault but I can get it done

No, you overwritten partition table and lost all data. Technically majority of data is still there but the problem with APA is, it is chain of partitions, each validating next, and you cannot predict chunks sizes from which was assembled. So in other words, you lost them now. What you can retrieve are PSX and PS2 saves/vmc by signature scan.

And BTW: do not use WinHIIP either. It breaking APA on disks above 1TiB and patching some games without user knowledge and agreement. Use HDLBatch Installer or... go by APA-Jail road.

Thanks for letting me know! I'll get starting on formatting and reinstalling everything, I'll make sure not to use WinHIIP this time and I'll remember this the next time I want to install more games XD
