PS3 Curious about the future of PSN on PS3

I'm mostly certain that Sony is going to eventually shut PSN down for the PS3, and my question is:
do you think people will have a way to mess with it and somehow revive online after it shuts down?
..this is absolutely hypothetical, so it's not urgent by any means..

I'm not sure if it's a thing on the PS3, but the PS4 uses xlink Kai for people on hackable firmware, since you can't sign in. I do not know if the servers must be active though.

Absolutey Sony will decommision their PS3 PSN servers at some point.. it's hard to know their timeframe on this though.

As with other online services i'm sure some home owned service will help the diehards stay online on select games.
