Have you tried?"And how do I do this? Any lower firmware is denied."

yes, and the best solution was that the DEC system supports any previous or previous updates. therefore it is only necessary to downgrade the version to 3.55 and install the CFW of your choice.Have you tried?
I indeed cant find any OtherOS++ features in any of the CFW options or in the Rebug menu of this 4.84 REBUG Lite DECR CFW.
But it does seemingly have the ability to store and mount PS3, PS2, PS1, PSP, and bluray/dvd titles at least; useful as decr unit is running significantly cooler than my turbine level cecha01 models
there is a 'initial guestOS loader' under LV1 patches within the rebug menu?
I actually caught Rene recently during one of his coding live streams on 1 of 2 of his YT channels and mentioned Linux on the DECR which he confirmed he had some modified CFW with OtherOS++ support

He responded saying its MFW and that he needed to get around to 'setting up a secure enclave' for the special CFW
it is vice versa on my side now, lol. I only have both DECR's and no working retail model anymore.Anyways, if I had more time and kept the unit longer.. I would've made that OOS+ possible on my REBUG builds.. but I don't have DECR anymore.
the idea of doing it on 3.15 was to resurrect the hidden / disabled feature (OOS) so it's impossible to do it after 3.50 IIRC. I spoke to Glev while back and he did mention that it used to work on DECR1000Ait is vice versa on my side now, lol. I only have both DECR's and no working retail model anymore.
isn't it just enough, to use already patched lv1+ and make new MFW? of course, using DEX vsh/sysconf?

OOS+ however is different story. it can be done on any version but bootos just wouldn't boot on DECR1000A when I last tested. looks like that rene guy figured it out though.
In this first video I linked, he uses a command in the linux gui that displays a ps3 FW version of 3.1.5. He mentions that this firmware was sent to him and that the PS3 CFW creators at the time could possibly send him a 3.5+ DECR CFW to get OtherOS+ working but that basically it was tricky and they didnt have it yet, nor did he have the time to invest in learning the ins and outs to create a CFW himself.
I may be mistaken but, I think he abandoned attempting to get the RSX working on the DECR linux because it was essentially behind in CFW development. I think everything Rene has developed for linux and RSX use has been specifically for non-DECR CFW's with OtherOS+ support already.
