I recently installed a Matrix Infinity 1.93 clone into a DESR 7500.
The diagram that is floating around for these is actually wrong, Y, A and B need to move over by 1 pin.
After getting everything wired up and reassembling everything, the disc drive spins for a second then just stops.
This is for both CDs and DVDs. If I boot Ulaunchelf it will report Stop Disc shortly after inserting a disc.
My best guess at the moment is that it's the ribbon cable for the sanyo laser. the blue tab came off and gluing it back on doesn't look perfect.
