DEX information and help !

Hey I am looking for information after I have converted to dex.

So I have converted from rebug 4.78 CEX to DEX and I am wondering what I have to do now to get online on dex. Is it the same as cex where I just log in or is there more to it.

On CEX I used sen enabler to spoof a private cid and psid as my original cid and psid is banned and I also used sen enabler to disable syscals and delete important information sent to Sony.
Can I still use this on dex and do the same thing do I have to do anything to the private cid as I know the cid changes slightly when you convert to dex

You can still use PSNPatch or SEN Enabler to patch the ids. They will not change the targetID part for CEX or DEX.
Keep doing what you were doing on CEX!

Remember as a general rule it's not recommended to use DEX to go online... Think about using a 2nd PSN account!

Okay so I dont have to change the private ids and just leave them as they are and not change them at all so they are showed as cex and not dex and do I have to change anything in the debug settings before I go online

And I know about its not recommend to go online on dex but neally all the gta v mods require dex and mods run smoother with dex and I am using a second account thanks to you mentioning it last time (btw thanks for that)

Remember to NOT USE MODS ONLINE is a simple way to ban.

The id will only differ in targetID, one byte translating into the number on the left of you cid. The rest of the console id will remain the same.

In retail depending on the geographic origin of the console that number will be between 83 & 8F.
That number should be changed to 82 for DEX to be coherent if you input the ids manually or if you prepare id files for SEN. You could keep a separate CEX & a DEX set of SEN id files.

As kozarovv just mentioned, don't go online with your mods on... I had guessed you had converted to DEX for game mods but then when you asked about going online it made me wonder...

Also remember that the stuff you download from psn is tied to the id set you used when downloading/installing the game/dlc...
To use them you will have to use the same ids (it means spoofing even when offline.)

Rebug default vsh is DEX one. So you are partially going online in dex mode. Just spoofed to cex by small hex edits.
Talking of which, I noticed there are 3 vsh.self in Rebug.
cex, dex and nrm.
Are they all dex based vsh as you just described? What's the exact role of the nrm vsh.self?

Okay so the console id on the ps3 is banned and a part of that has changed to 82, so do I need to change part of the private console id that I spoof with sen enabler to 82 aswell

default = normal mode

Rebug mode = .swp

Debug vsh = vsh.self/ vsh.self.swp
Retail vsh = vsh.self.cexsp

Check discussion about my spoof tutorial in dev section. You will find there all needed info. bguerville

Yes I suppose it makes sense to be coherent.
Use 82 when on DEX and 8? when on CEX.

If your cid is banned then I suggest you try using idpset 0.87 from Zar to replace it in both locations eid0 & eid5 with your replacement Id permanently..

The Rebug Toolbox can do that too I think?

Explanation in details is not in tutorial itself. I send you pm to post where joonie explained for me this.

Edit: OK then ;)

But idpset doesn't change the psid in the nor, does that matter if the psid isn't changed and do you know how to change the cid in the nor with rebug toolbox

You cant change eid5 idps cause you will only change the header which means corruption
If you do, eid5 will be corrupted and wont work when needed by a self
And rebug toolbox allows on the fly cex to dex conversion

We know about the conversion thanks habib.
Just looking for a more permanent solution to the spoofing issue.

Isn't idpset's objective to change idps permanently by changing both eid0 & eid5?
You're saying it doesn't work or has consequences?

Does it matter about the psid, is it even worth changing it as idpset removed the option to changed psid permanently

Well I suppose if you must auto spoof one, you might as well do both...
PSNPatch does this quite nicely & as a bonus it is not fw dependant.
Unless you use SEN for other features, psnpatch plugin is probably the easiest to use.
