I'm a PS Plus Deluxe subsriber, iam subbed to deluxe in hoping that sony would start adding ps2 games to the catalog/psn. the only thing they did was added a few games that were already available the PS Store for purchase. they didnt added a single ps2 game that wasnt already at ps store since the ps plus relaunch...

Is there hope?

I don't think that Sony would give up on PS2 emulation easily. However, 3rd party licensing rights is the biggest hurdle to republish old titles into PS Store alongside with emulation performance issues of certain titles on aging PS4 consoles.

In a meantime, I hope Sony would fix emulation issues on PSP titles especially Ridge Racer 2 that apparently have some hiccups on PS4 consoles.

I saw a website claiming Sony released a PS2 classic mini, which game pre-loaded with 20 games and that let people download more in the store. It's all based off emulation too, but I couldn't find any retailer selling the thing. Might be a phony website or dropped product.

FAKE.
