Came with disc inside stuck. Upon powering up the console, the blue light would blink and beep and you could hear the disc intake motor moving but nothing would come out or go in. The blue light would then stay off while console on. If eject pushed after startup, the same beeping and flashing blue light plus motor movement happened but would still not eject disc. Disc not reading either. Disc does not even making spinning or reading sounds.
Downloaded games would also not play. Instead would stay on black screen. If eject button pushed on this black screen though, the game would then proceed to load and play. This must be some sort of lock out that occurs due to the stuck disc that lifts when hitting the eject button.
Disassembled and took out disc. Optical drive was not flat due to one of the 4 pins being jammed in the up position. Fixed this and reset black side pins to be ready for a disc.
After assembling, disc was then accepted but is now stuck again. Some spinning or motor wirring can be heard but disc still not being read. Blue light also staying off.
My thought was it was just a mechanical issue with gears or pins and this holds true as the optical drive was jammed up. But now I'm back to square one. I even took the drive from my old broken E model and did the daughterboard swap. This drive works no problem.
I'm stumped, anyone else have a similar issue?
Thanks
