Does anyone have one of those plastic tabs that Sony used on the CPUs of refurbished consoles?

I have shared the file for 3d printing before, but It got buried in the threads. I haven't tested it myself though, I don't have a 3d printer.

Edit: deleted due to incorrect design

I have never had a problem with the eraser mod, I do however use thermal pads to create the mod and its never failed me yet!

Could I ask what thickness you used, and how if the metal plate was hard to screw back on due to the thermal pads sticking out?

I used an eraser of 3mm thickness and I'm unsure if I'm comfortable with how much pressure was going onto the eraser when I screwed the metal plate back onto the board. I suppose that was the whole goal of the mod (to put pressure onto the CPU) but now I'm worried about the solder joints getting damaged from this pressure.

I use 3 small 2mm thermal pads inserted into the indentation on the pack of the CPU, it's a much safer way to create the mod

3mm can kill the PS3. It should be 1mm but you can now print replacement ones in a heatproof material, which will need to be sanded to 1mm.

Yep, I bought them from computer booter and got them shipped over to the UK. They work very well and are safe to use.

Btw that 3d file was wrong, since then I got the printer and tested it out. Here is the corrected version that fits and has about 1mm thickness (same as the original). Works best with ABS plastic.

I found it on Sony's official refurbished Frankenstein. If you don't have a 3D printer, you can find a local 3D printing workshop to help you make it.
