Does anyone know if this can get you banned?

I bought a used ps3 a couple weeks ago. it was on rebug 4.82 d-rex. I updated it to 4.83 ferrox. it's taken a little while to test everything until I got to signing to see if the system was banned. I didn't know that its environment was set to sp int instead of np, so I was unable to sign in to psn. I couldn't even bring up the window to enter my email and password. this resulted in an error. I changed the environment back to np. could that short time trying to figure out was wrong, errors and whatnot, warrant a ban? I mean I hadn't even entered my psn information, but could the console be flagged somehow?? I bought this system, since it was unbanned.

I've accidentally tried signing into sp-int plenty times on 2 separate systems of mine and haven't suffered any kind of ban. And that was quite a while back so i think your good.

thanks, man. that's a weight off my mind. I figured that, since I couldn't even sign in, I was safe. :) I've actually been thinking about that all day.

Since when did pinkypoo become a noob?

I've forgotten a lot ever since I moved over to the wii u. and, psn has never been my thing, but at the same time, who wants a banned console? I couldn't find any of the ps3 or the switch on ebay, so my old, banned ps3 is forever meant to stay in my storage room. that is, after I remove it from my bedroom. the new ps3 is ghetto'd (placed on a cardboard box, with cables running along the floor) for testing purposes only. it only has a 50GB hdd in it too, so no gaming 'til I get something bigger. ;)

@bitsbubba , btw, I don't own a banned switch, but considering how easy it is to get banned on that system, I thought I'd see a lot of them on ebay. I think staying clean by reflashing the NAND each time you go online is the only way to escape a ban.
