PS3 Does hfw work?

Does hfw work with evilnat or no ive seen a few youtube links saying cfw 4.88 is out but also that someone that modded ps3 cfw moved on to ps4 modding i just really want to play my ps3 im getting tired of my 360 constantly freezing and getting bored of the same games over and over again on my 360

CFW and HFW are totally separate, you do not need HFW to install CFW anymore.

The issue currently is that BG Toolset which is used to patch OFW to allow CFW to install, has not been updated for 4.88 yet. So currently if you are on 4.88 OFW (or 4.88 HFW) there is no way to install CFW. You will just have to wait a few days longer. For now you could install HEN while you wait.

However if you are currently on 4.87 OFW or below, then you can install CFW by using BG Toolset @ http://** ** www.ps3xploit.net > D... by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com

Note: For the purposes of installing CFW it makes no difference if you are on OFW or HFW. HFW is only needed for installing HEN.

Evilnat is Custom Firmware but HFW is modified original firmware. You cannot run both of same time. You can many things you can do on CFWs on HFW. You cannot use OtherOS or you cannot run PS2 ISO's on BD compatible console(Original discs works if your console is BD compatible or you can use sofware emulator called ps2_netemu works all PS3 models). If you want just gaming you can use HFW. All hacking tools(Apollo Save Tool, webMAN, Artemis or ps3mapi etc.) etc. runs perfectly on HFW.
