PS2 Doubts about the BitFunx Adapter for the Sony NA.

I have a NA SCPH 10281 in my SCPH 39001 along with a Samsung HDD of 80gb IDE.
In the last few weeks it has been showing several defects.

Since my computer doesn't have an IDE port, I transfer games using HDL Server, but I can't use more than 48gb of HDD storage. When a game is in transfer and reaches a certain value, an error is shown on the screen and the HD disconnects, being necessary to reset the device to use the HDl again, and for the games to work well, they must be installed in order to occupy at most 35gb, games installed after this value is busy have an error such as not loading the map or not opening.
I used the HDD Checker to scan it and when it reached between 50 and 60% completed, it shows an error saying that the HD was disconnected or something, but I can restart the test without restarting the device but with the same error in the same part .
I tried zero fill more than once and in all of them I had the same error as when I was doing the scan and in the same part.

I gave up trying to fix it and decided to use a new HDD but SATA, and for that I'm going to install the BitFunx PATA to SATA converter card, but I have some doubts about it.

1- Using an original NA, when files are accessed on HD, a yellow led is lit or blinking, and this happens on my NA and I like this data access 'information'.
Using this Bitfunx card, do I lose this 'information', this blinking data access led or does it continue to work normally as before? I like this access LED, I didn't want to lose it.

2- In terms of durability, are they reliable? I intend to buy on Aliexpress from this seller, it has several sales and almost all the reviews are positive, but in terms of the long term, are they good and reliable?

3- Regarding HD and SSD compatibility, do you have brands that don't work? Initially I will use some of the notebook HD's, 2.5", that I have here, but I want to install an SSD in it, maybe an Xraydisk from Aliexpress, but I have doubts about compatibility.

4- As for installing the games on the SATA disk, which program do I use? Can I still install games via HDL Server if I want to?

5- A real doubt, is there a chance that the HD is not damaged, but in fact my NA has a defect that does not allow the installation of more games on the HD? I don't think so, because I can connect the device to the PC without problems and the error is always in the same part, I've tried to install more games after a few days but the same error appears again in the same part but this idea came to my mind.

There are a lot of doubts, I know, but I'm a little undecided if I buy this adapter because at the moment it would be a considerably high investment in my budget, and I want to be sure that it will solve the problems I'm having, or at least a part of them.

Ad3. It doesn't matter what kind of device is on other side, the interface which their fw communicating is PATA or in case of replacements boards SATA, and that's it. So You can use HDD, SHDD, SSD, eMMC, SDHC, whatever You will be able to connect it. And still to today, no one really knows why some devices aren't compatible and other are. It is roulette.

Ad4. As above, it doesn't matter what app You will use. They will not know where to installing games. Operating System must support them and that's all.

For network You can use HDL Server + client (or any toolkit which have it build in), or HDL GameInstaller + its client. But it is waste of time, faster is direct connection to mother board or to USB if it is good controller and target device fast enough.

Ad5. Lack of information. Check S.M.A.R.T (I'm not sure but HDDChecker showing some basic parrams?) and/or surface scan, for which You need a PC.

Yeah you'll keep the activity light with the adapter. I've been using mine for years and no problems so far. The best option in my opinion since clone adapters are trash.
