hello i have one ps3 fat have installed cfw 4.89.2
I realized after the update that the player is not working and any app or game install a black screen and it is possible to perform a downgrade which I have tried in all ways but it gives me unreadable data error or does anyone know how to update to 4.89 .2 noBD if it exists thanks if anyone can help me

You need to toggle QA. You can download an aplication to do it, and I also believe you can within the firmware itself.

Option (1) Go to brewology.com and download Habib QA toggle. This is a standalone aplication that toggles QA enabling you to downgrade to any custom firmware you choose. Once you have installed it click on it and the screen will go black and after about a minute will return tonthe XMB. From here you now install your custom firmware from USB stick. This rarely works first time, if it doesn't repeat the process and it almost certainly will work on the second attempt.

Option (2) Go to the network tab and select custom firmware tools, now select cobra tools, from here you can enable or disable QA flags which will allow you to also perform a custom firmware downgrade
(Enable to perform the downgrade)

Ho provato Habib QA per attivare/disattivare lo schermo nero e rimane così per mezz'ora????

I tried Habib QA toggle black screen and it stays like that for half an hour

Something isn't right, try restoring default settings then reboot your console and try again. If not, it could be an issue with your BD drive. Does multiman and other aplications work?

After looking at your original post you mention applications now show a black screen..this is almost certainly your blu-ray drive. You will need to open your console and check that the ribbon cable is connected as it should be and also make sure the power connector from the blu-ray drive is connected.

You can install noBD Evilnat 4.89, if your blu-ray drive is not working this will still run aplications like multiman for example

If your using homebrew enabler (HEN) you can't downgrade, this is only possible with custom firmware

When you try to load a disc, do you get a dial in a small circle around the top right of the screen. Are you activating hen when you boot up the console?

when i insert the disc, the small disc appears at the top right but the game icon is not there this ps3 they told me that the player has been replaced

it makes me install only the original firmware 4.89 from here I can perform a downgrade ?

This is all a bit confusing. Please be clear on the following

(1) what exactly is the firmware you are using. Is it homebrew enabler (HEN) or is it custom firmware like Evilnat for example.

(2) If you are using HEN do you enable it by clicking on the HEN icon?

(3) Your drive is connected, even though its not working you should be able to run homebrew aplications as the clock appears on the top right of the screen, so if your getting a black screen you need to check what firmware your on and if its HEN are you enabling it?
