PS3 Downgrade PS3 Slim 2001A from CFW 4.91 CEX to OFW 2.70

Hello! I have a retired PS3 Slim 2001A that isn't being in use for me anymore as I upgraded to the 2501A, I wanted to get some good last use out of this one by downgrading it to 2.70, I checked the minimum version and it does say 2.70!

I read upon downgrading PS3s and is the downgrade process really simple as just enabling QA Flag and installing the 2.70 update? Or is there more steps involved to do this as smooth as possible?

It's not that simple to go below FW 3.55. You must enable QA flags first, then downgrade to some CFW 3.55, and after that you can install OFW 2.70.

Would I be able to try enabling QA Flag, then downgrading to Rebug 3.55.2 CEX CFW in safe mode, then after re-enabling QA, and downgrading to OFW 2.70 in safe mode?

No need to apply QA flags again. Once they are set, they will still be present on any CFW that can use them.

also be sure that your model can go to that firmware... you need to check the minimum supported FW for it, before trying such thing
