Hello. I have a namco 369 assay with what appears to be gpu failure. I have read here in 'allowing-ps3-dex-cex-for-gex-syscalls' that you can indeed install GEX firmware onto a retail board.
I do not know how to get the update to accept from evilnat 3.91 cfw (cex)

how do i patch the flash to a0 tid? these instructions simply dont seem to work.
"The exact steps to convert to GEX are these:
1-. Dump the EID_Root_Key (rebug toolbox can do this)
2-. Dump the flash and patch it for 0xA0 with c2d.exe
3-. rename dump to XXXXX.EID0.NORBIN (if NOR) and put in USB
4-. using mmOS click on the dump to flash EID0
5-. reboot in recovery mode
6-. Install GEX OFW."
evilnat options seem to allow me to dump the eid root key and the flash but c2d.exe doesnt seem to have options to 'patch it for 0xA0'. that looks like hex to me though. would patching manually at address 0xA0 via hex editor be the same?
is renaming dump to 'XXXXX.EID0.NORBIN' the actual filename convention or should 'XXXXX' be a number?
mmOs does not seem to have a flash EID0 option when selecting my dump via filebrowser. (i checked out of curiosity.)
no versions of cex firmwares seem to allow install of any gex fw i have downloaded however if i enable debug system update flag in qa flags it will see the PASTA 4.70 cfw gex update but wont update.
please help. i spent a lot of money on this game (tekken tag tournament 2) it is hands down my fave tekken and it sucks to get ripped off on this bid i won after loosing so many other auctions over the last year. i really dont wanna reflow this board as i am doubtful it will last if i do. when i inspected the board i found white thermal paste so it appears that has been done at least once already. it is a shame to see this assay go to waste and i really wanna run this game for quarters. the only other option i see is finding someone to convert to a frankie.
please help.
