PS3 Eboot editing issues

I'm not sure if someone can help me with this, but I'm trying to edit the MRTC version of Final Fantasy XIII to activate the debug menu. I've got it to Load the menu, but I'm facing an issue: whenever an FMV is supposed to load, the game softlocks or crashes the console.

I actually got this to work fully years ago, but the eboot with all the necessary changes is now gone. The only thing I found on an old hard drive is a collection of debug eboots for the trilogy and some files for the debug menu—but in FFXIII-1's case these are for the Chinese and Japanese version

I used these files as a "base" and compared the normal eboots to the debug ones, then tried to find the same or similar values in the MRTC version.

If anyone could help me figure out what's going wrong, I'd greatly appreciate it!

You might have to use ida again. On a side note, the game is better than a lot of people say imo. I bought the trilogy on the series x. It's in 4k iirc. I just use my series x for exclusives and bc games for PlayStation and Xbox. You usually get a better game then.

What's ida can i use that with hen ? (im still new to modding stuff but this game made me want to try it lol) i just hex edited the decrypted eboot and the values i edited were the same for the Chinese version, japanese version and i found the same values in the mrtc Version just at different offsets ofc and i totally agree

I just thought about an rtm tool. That's probably what you need.

Which rtm tool should I use? I also tried Ghidra, but I don't think that will do anything as I also just found the same stuff there trying to change something. Also, after doing some research through archive.org and stuff, I found a YouTube video that's not available anymore, but there was an address that I was able to find with PS3MAPI where the first byte changed depending on if I either started the unmodified game or the modified EBOOT. This is so confusing haha.

I was off about ghidra. I had just remembered rtm, real time modding, apps. I'm not too familiar with which one to use though. When I had a hacked PS3, I was interested in mods, but only mods with the system, like coldboots and waves. Gaming mods - I'm not too familiar with other than needing an rtm.
