I have a PS3 that was running firmware version 3.55 for many years. I recently started using it again and successfully updated it to the official firmware version 4.93.
The console is connected to the internet and everything appears to be working normally. I can reach the PlayStation Network sign-in screen without any issues.
However, when I enter my PSN email address and password and press "Confirm", the sign-in fails immediately and I receive the following error:
Error Code: 80023154
The console is fully updated to firmware 4.93, and the account credentials are correct, but I am unable to sign in to PSN because of this error.
I would like to know what causes error 80023154 and how to fix it.
