Hi,

I built a CFW with MFW builder, i checked LV2 and LV1 patch only then I installed it over evilnat 4.88. Everything went smoothly until I tried to launch an homebrew I had the error 800010017... So, I built another CFW and I enabled every NPDRM / ECDSA patch and also VSH patch, I tried to install the PUP and I had the error 8002F957 I have no idea what it is...
I can't install any CFW now I tried Evilnat 4.88, rebug downgrader pup but it also gives errors.

Did I 'soft' brick my system ? How can i fix it ?

thanks

You may simply have lost jailbreak because a patch is missing in which case you will need to install OFW then use the PS3 Toolset to regain jailbreak.

I see explore_plugin.sprx 4.89 very different from the previous FW. Maybe MFW can't patch this one.

Maybe @haxxxen can handle it.

if you have used my mod version, you probably had the same problem like me, when I have bricked my DECR. on my side the brick was a broken lv0 but I also have forgotten some specific patch and got this very same error with loop. I think it was some invalid tar permission problem. about the other error, duno, never encountered it, but it could be some sgning problem, so maybe missed ECDSA patch?

yes, i used ur mod. BTW, i had to use absolute path to make it working. I didn't check any ECDSA patch.... I built it too fast without reading everything.

I was able to install HFW+HEN on it without error :). I stay on it to test mgz on HEN.

yes, i used ur mod.
I am honestly sorry that you have bricked. I really have to get myself together and finally fix it

I once have said it, in its current form it is only good for modifying existing CFW, where it works perfectly.

BTW, i had to use absolute path to make it working.
erm sorry, but what do you mean by this?

edit
mymy, it is disturbing and annoying to answer with smartphone

for example, by default the path of modified firmware is : "ps3mfw-builder-0.2.1-mod/test" but if I select browse and then select whith the dialog box it wrote something like that : "C:/Users/Zar/Desktop/test.PUP".

relative path : "ps3mfw-builder-0.2.1-mod/test"
absolute path : "C:/Users/Zar/Desktop/ps3mfw-builder-0.2.1-mod/test.PUP"

Same for "original firmware", "PS3_key"s and "temp directory"

Edit no need to be sry it's 100% my bad

thanks, now I get it. well the predefined settings xml is just an example for reference, cause I know that not everybody wants some determined path setting. I always think all users understand my thinking and know my meanings. I will add a note in the readme on my git of course
