Ps3 Homebrew Developer Estwald (aka hermes) is back with an official update to IRIS Manager, with the release of version 2.95 over at the Spanish Community (elotrolado.net.) Estwald announced his semi-retirement from the scene a couple of years ago and the developer continues to come back from time to time and provide some support for his applications. This time around the developer releases an update to addresses some bugs in the manager, that Estwald has detailed in the changelog/release quote foun[break]ss[/break]d below, that sadly i had to use a Google Translations. Its great to see a developer who did so much for the PS3 Community still lurking around and providing us with a new and improved IRIS Manager.
Estwald (Google Translation) said:Hey there,
I allowed myself to add some changes to Iris, things people "neglected", fixes bugs, etc:
Version 2.95 - irismanager-4-x
New in version 2.95:
- Fixed Iris ISO tools and PC (now generates MGS V iso correctly)
- Fix Error 009 now works to firm 4.90 (for games over console firmware)
- Added support for new firmware Mamba (@_NzV_ thanks), and added new firmwares supported LIC.DAT fix for the firmware 4.55 (thanks @Alexander, @Aldostools, Pelayin_5, Faxtron ...)
Well, notes on the subject:
First, I continue with the firmware 4.55 (that's why it has fixed the error and fix LIC.DAT 009, I needed). The issue of ISOS, the ruling was that when calculating the space sector could be added with more empty entries ... something that for example, if I create an ISO and extract, copy files, etc, gives no problem but if it gives certain games when copying your data, they input any invalid file or something appears. Anyway, it seems solved.
About support new firmware, in theory it works until 4.76. I say theoretically because obviously I could try being in 4.55. The Mamba support includes firmware that are not supported by Iris Manager in practice, curiously, like the fan control. That opens the possibility that if someone adds those missing firmware, because there is already the job done XD . I think that a FW I have not used, I can not test and that probably is obsolete because, well ... it's about what you need to add, as in my case: that at 4.55 and I see that I need a patch and I see you looking, someone added 4.55 (in Irisman specifically version of Alexander). By the way, returning to Mamba ... I have not reviewed and do not remember things I would have changed by bugs or compatibility: added as it is new, I have not noticed any problem and how it works, let my old binary Mamba but opto by new, since it is the present / future line.
As far does not play anything of scene and do not know where the wind goes, etc, I beg you to apologize if I make some fallito or someone who thinks he should be in the credits, it is not. It has not been easy to find things and it was a surprise to see the work of NZV on github (which Curran [+risas] )
PS: One comes home for Christmas, well specifically heavy gigs yesterday ... but not in my plans again, just do specific things to notice ... as of now. Being cows, if you touch something, I have time [+risas]
PD2: I think it was not necessary to mention it, but all the changes have to source on github
