PS3 Evilnat 4.92.2 Issues

Hello!
I recently acquired a PS3 phat (frankie) that came pre-installed with Evilnat 4.91. It was working fine until I updated to 4.92.2 CEX where I am experiencing some strange issues:

1) Edy Viewer has appeared in the settings. It was not there previously. I don't know why it appeared, but I would prefer to remove it if possible.

2) PSN protection is not working. It is not stopping me from trying to log in without disabling syscalls first. Trying to toggle the setting off/on does not seem to be affecting it.

3) Debug Settings appear to not be saving? For example, if I try to turn off update debug settings, it still appears.

4) Unable to update. I'm trying to install a dual boot firmware for the time being to activate my psn account (and eventually switch back later). However, upon trying to install, I get hit with a 80029C9C error ("The data type is not supported"). I'm trying to install it off a USB port.

Any help with trying to solve these issues would be most appreciated!

Thank you!

Ad1. It is indicator that QA flag working and it is part of CellOS.
Ad3. You cannot turn it off in DEX and hybrid CFWs.

Elements in Settings aren't lie on simple XMLs like everything else but are hardcoded in some RCOs. You can edit that and replace file but it is pain in the ass.

I see...so enabling qa flags is what caused it to appear. So it basically becomes permanent? Even if you try disabling qa flags?

A:Your region is Korean, change it in debug settings.

A: If you already disabled the syscalls, toggling it on, will not take effect, reboot your system or enable the syscalls back.

A: Software_update_plugin.sprx has been patched to always have the debug update on, toggling it off you not take any effect.

A: As DHFW is a Official firmware, it won't install, you can try it via recovery mode.

Thanks for the big reply! Just to clarify:

For psn protection, it is simply not blocking access like it's supposed to, even with syscalls enabled.

I'm pretty sure the consoles region is USA (its a cecha01, and plays us ps2 games).
Also I'm on CEX...region setting don't appear in debug settings.

I think I may have discovered what could be the source of my issues: I installed Evilnat CEX, when the firmware previously installed was PEX...

My region setting is America and Edy Viewer is still there. Is this supposed to be a normal thing to have here?

OK, for some clarification, what is PSN protection supposed to look like in the latest version of Evilnat? On 4.91, there was a disclaimer blocking access every time you try to click on something PSN related. That disclaimer block is missing now, even with it toggled on. Is that normal now? Or does it pop up differently now (if at all)?

OK, after digging around in my PS3, it seems that it actually is a Japanese system. So, in that case, Edy Viewer is a permanent addition (still weird that it only showed up after updating).
