PS2 Fastest way to transfer files to PS2 HDD?

Hey guys, so I'm giving my modded PS2 to a friend of mine since I don't use it as I just use PCSX2 now. I've installed all the games I have on the internal HDD via Winhiip and that was great, but I'm also putting some libretro emulators on one of the memory cards and I'm trying to transfer the ROMs directly onto the HDD via FTP. Since you apparently have to limit the FTP upload speed to 20Kbs or the PS2 will freak out, this is horribly slow, even with tiny files like Gameboy ROMs.

Does anyone know any faster ways of transferring files onto a PS2 HDD? I haven't seen any PC applications that can actually browse a PS2 HDD's partitions, unless I'm missing something. Transferring files off of a thumb drive is also grossly slow.

Connect it to PC and copy via PFS Shell. That's only application which supporting PFS filesystem. And do not use any gui or frontends for it because they are buggy and You risking damaging partition logic. Just use original app in CLI and all be fine.

My man, this is what I was looking for.

I don't know, never used. I prefer direct connect drive to PC because it is fast as much HDD speed offer.
