Found this weird super slim PS3

Hi!
i came across this weird ps3
see this weird firmware:

And it is a 4xxx series:

So is there anyone know this type of jailbreak and how to do it; because it's so unstable and i want 2 remove it.
BTW: the blu-ray cover is close stuck in it's place can't be opened and when i asked why they said it's a part of the jailbreak.
Plz help......

Hi there, HFW stands for hybrid firmware, which is an alternative along with HEN for consoles not capable of having a CFW (custom firmware). If you want to remove it and go back to the OFW you could just update it to the latest OFW (I would do this via pendrive instead of online for precaution).
As to the locked cover being part of the jailbreak process is something that smells like bullshit to me...You already bought this ps3 or you are just testing it? Check to see if the bluray drive wasn't removed or something like that...
I'm not a pro so if I said something incorrect please feel free to point it out =D

I don't see anything strange here. Currently all PS3 models and all firmwares can be hacked. Console on which You cannot install CFW (which means: all CECH-25xx with factor fw 3.60 or newer, all CECH-3xxx/4xxx) can be hacked via HFW + HEN. It is not the same as CFW but average peoples wouldn't find the difference (as I remember, and could be wrong, nothing works which needs LV1 access).

What do You maen by unstable? It is stable...

It is a lie. I wouldn't buy it in Your place because if seller lying, this promise nothing good.

I could try to update it but i'm afraid this ps3 is using cobra ode jailbreak so it might give an error while updating and since i don't have the original firmware i can't get it back running

It is a lie. I wouldn't buy it in Your place because if seller lying, this promise nothing good.

This firmware is SOO unstable it crashes all the time and the colour keeps turning black and white and normal repeatedly and this not a hdmi fault, cuz it happening when i try to lunch hen enabler.
And do u have any idea about this firmware it says Cobra, maybe this ps3 is cobra jailbreak??

SuperSlim doesn't eject the disc like Phat or Slim does. When you press the button, it unlocks the cover which slides open. Or you can just open the slide by pushing it with a little force. If it doesn't open either way, either there is foreign object blocking the gears or the gears are stripped. Has nothing to do with the jail break.

Maybe that PS3 has the Cobra ODE chip installed alongside PS3HEN. Maybe that's why he doesn't want you to open the disk tray?

It is payload name. Cobra is not related to Cobra CFW (none of CFW is possible on Your model, except HFW) since source for v7 was published. It is now part of all modern CFW or at least as an option (because there is also alternative form named Mamba).

i think everything in the screenshot below "free space" has been added by modding a file. they just made it say cobra.

if you haven't bought it yet, do not buy it. you can't play or rip a disc without a drive.

Scroll at the forum index to take a look, there are subforums for every console, if you are not sure which subforum fits better with your question there is a subforum named "general *** discussion" for every console (where the asterisks are the name of the console)
