PS3 Frankenstein CECHA00 problem with PS2 games and their temperature

Hello, I have a problem with my Frankenstein console but this might affect other non-frankie CECHA consoles as stated in another thread by a couple users. I'm using latest EVILNAT CFW with default webman-mod settings.

It seems like if the CELL processor goes below 60c, the PS2 environment becomes unstable quicky and the game freezes a few minutes in or earlier. I can still use the PS button to access the menu to reset the game or return to XMB, so the console isn't fully locked up, it seems to only be a problem with the PS2 environment.

When I've brought this issue up in other places, people have differing reports saying that their console is cooled well and works fine on HW BC PS2 games and the couple users in the thread I linked seem to be the only ones who have reports that correlate with mine.

I know no other way to solve this without slowing down the PS2 mode fan speed to make the CELL chip heat up and become stable, which is usually around 25%, but I worry I am lessening the life of the console, even if it is frankensteined.

I haven't seen this issue discussed anywhere else online which bewilders me so I ask you guys for support and I appreciate any feedback on it.

Try changing your ps2emu verison

try using the normal verison or debug

and see if it changes anything or maybe you have the ps2 mode as HARDWARE based or SOFTWARE

as these 2 give very diffrent results try changing and see if you get anything new

If you want to change your ps2 emulation to HARDWARE or SOFTWARE

The only thing I know that can change it is the

Ps3 4k pro Mod

You can find it on github but let that be a last resort and try to find a manual way since the ps3 4k pro mod is not reliable and stable

I'm on a hardware backwards compatible PS3, I'm not emulating, I will never use software and I'm definitely not gonna install some stuff like that

You can switch back to it if you didn't get any new results

You can try to see if it changes or fixes your issue

And your ps3 is software emulating anyway if you wanna enable hardware based emulation

You need to either use ps3 4k pro mod
Or do it manually

cecha and b models have both ps2 chips, its cechc and e models that half emulate it

do u play your ps2 games from disc?

Is there anyone else with Frankies on the forum that can correlate this issue as well?
Someone here had your same exact issue and fixed it by finding a faulty fuse and capacior. We know characteristics of resistors and capacitor changes when heat is involved.

Have an ESR meter handy and test all caps, yes all, in circuit. There's a number of 0 ohm fuses too. If you can't find it in circuit, best is have a weekend ready to find the bad cap by desoldering each one. Its like finding a needle in a haystack, well worth it if you ask me.
