I recently bought a FAT PS3 that is BC. After reading a lot of posts on this forum I want to custom build the Ultimate PS3 that will last a lifetime. I have compiled a list of things I have found online to what I believe should be replaced to make the original PS3 extremely reliable.
-Swap the 90nm GPU for a new 40nm GPU.
- Delid of the CELL & RSX chips and apply new Thermal Paste
-PS3 Cell Plug installed under CPU or 3mm Thermal pad or eraser mod
-have all the NEC capacitors replaced with new NEC Tantalizer capacitors
-1.8v/5v rail capacitors replaced
- Complete disassembly of console
- Console clean
-thermal paste & thermal pads
-Original Fan replaced with new 19 blade Fan
-PSU changed to APS-226
-Voltage Adjustment
Any input and feedback is greatly appreciated or if there are more things that i can do to make it even better as I am looking to get this project completed
