PS3 Get game audio sound from Headset Bluetooth & USB (not only in chat)

Hi,
I'm having the same issue as Nanamori7. The sound is kinda stuffy, it's the same as a GTA V online voice conversation, i.e.
I'm using this wireless headphones: https://www.sony.com/electronics/headband-headphones/mdr-xb650bt
this mod swaps the game audio stream with the voice chat stream, so the audio coming from bluetooth headphones will not be good quality. there is no way to make it better. usb headphones seem to work better but will not be perfect either.

Yes USB is much better indeed, i'm using it rn
Thanks

So, I installed the PKG and ran through the later installations, but my PS3 keeps turning off every time I try to launch something now. I cannot even enter Multiman to see what is up. Could anyone tell me how I can remove this and from what directory? Thanks.

FYI this happened because I installed the CFW version on HEN. Just needed a help to resolve it.

Hey but backup options what is it? And why i have two install uninstall options?
Like this
  • Install
  • Uninstall
  • Install
  • Uninstall
  1. Backup

---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CFW Consoles -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. Download this PKG (it works for CFW 4.82/4.84/4.85/4.86)
  1. I am pretty new to this but I have done a a ton of research and I'm getting it thanks to all of your hard work so thanks for that. This worked great when I first tried it. I was running the latest version of Ferrox. I changed my CFW to rebug D-Rex 4.84.2 With toolbox installed multiman & Webman. Now when I run this PKG I get an Error saying "your firmware version is not supported." Is there another pkg that will work? could this be the same reason that I am Getting the (Error 8001002B) on games? Working on that one I know this isn't the thread for it. Thanks again for all the write ups.

Hello, nice to meet you, great job what you did with this pkg, it worked a lot for me, but now with the update, it does not work for me, when will you be able to update it, for hen 4.87, thanks and greetings from Venezuela.

i have updated bt game audio for hen (click here)

i have not done cfw. i do not plan on doing cfw.

Am I getting this error because I need an updated version for my cfw? I'm running D-REX 4.84.2... I resolved my other issues (my copy of webman was broke.) Now the system is running like a dream, but I would love to have this option. I really appreciate the input.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CFW Consoles -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. Download this PKG (it works for CFW 4.82/4.84/4.85/4.86)
  2. Copy it to root of FAT32 USB or External Hard Drive
  3. Boot your PS3 then Install the PKG
  4. Click on Game Audio from BT-USB HeadSet
  5. Click on Installer
  6. Confirm Reboot by clicking on Yes
  7. Connect your USB/Bluetooth headset to PS3
  8. Go to Accessory Settings in Settings Column
  9. Scroll Down till you See Audio Device Settings
  10. Choose Your Device
  11. Start your Game and you will hear sound from your HeadSet and Have fun :)
  • Audio of XMB will still output to TV but when you enter the game you will get sound to headset
    • If you unplug your HeadSet from USB or Power it Off(Wireless HeadSet) PS3 will output back from TV
    • When you plug your USB HeadSet again you will regain sound from your Headset and not from TV
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- HEN Consoles -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  1. Download this PKG (4.86 HEN v3.0.1 headset audio patch+Auto-Updates Disabled) " it works normally no problem as @Niander466 and many others test it and report to me it works :)"
  2. Copy it to root of FAT32 USB or External Hard Drive
  3. Boot your PS3 and click on ★ Enable HEN
  4. Install the PKG
  5. Connect your USB/Bluetooth headset to PS3
  6. Go to Accessory Settings in Settings Column
  7. Scroll Down till you See Audio Device Settings
  8. Choose Your Device
  9. Start your Game and you will hear sound from your HeadSet and Have fun :)
  • Audio of XMB will still output to TV but when you enter the game you will get sound to headset
    • Audio will output to Bluetooth/USB HeadSet only when HEN is Enabled
    • If you unplug your HeadSet from USB or Power it Off(Wireless HeadSet) PS3 will output back from TV
    • When you plug your USB HeadSet again you will regain sound from your Headset and not from TV

Videos :

i wait for Jack to USB adapter but it comes to my mind another thing is that i have my Blue Yeti Micro Phone that have USB i plug to PS3 then plug my Headset to BlueYeti's Jack port and it work

Game Tested : Splinter Cell Blacklist audio from Headset :)

Credits : Thanks to Zer0xFF for reverse engineere the libaudio for CFW consoles and PS3Xploit team for including the patch for HEN consoles

FYI @atreyu187 @Naked_Snake1995 @Naxil @ISAK.M

@Niander466,@Naxil,@KFAQ can confirm for you that works :)

If you use Bluetooth Headset you will have low quality audio compared to using USB Headset
Hi my friend, i tested it in 4.87 HEN 3.0.2 and it works perfectly, can i ask you something? can you put an option to multi-output sound? because i make videos for YTB and i need sound from the HeadSets (for good gaming) but also sound from the HDMI for recording. Thanks you!

if you are using @Louay's version on 4.86 i would recommend using the new one i linked to above. it has been compiled for 4.87. his may work but it is running a 4.86 hen.

i doubt any improvements can be make because the code is not available.

Yo Coro, this is a very nice addition to the homebrew community! Would there be a chance to make this work for PS2 games?
I guess it maybe doesn't work since when you get into PS2 mode the bluetooth connection turns off but there could be a way no?
