you should be able to use the cfw pkg in the OP. it installs a homebrew that install/uninstalls the patched file. (edit - nevermind, Louay has made files for each firmware. just do what i say next...)

you can also download the patched file itself here. put it in dev_blind/sys/external. you may need to delete or rename the old one first if using ftp.

if you have troubles, reinstall CFW pup.

It didn't work on my 4.86.1 rebug, so I updated to .87 just to try your method but no luck .
I was hyped upon discovering this and I've read the entire thread looking for a solution, unfortunatly there is none until this moment..

In the next managunz version there is going to be an option to apply this patch to libaudio.sprx
The code is already available to compile a new managunz version with this feature, but for an official release it will be needed to wait some days/weeks

Did you set up your BT device as the input and output device? otherwise it won't work and it only works in-game

Sure I did, it seems not working on the latest 4.87 nor on rebug for many people

That's strange!
This sprx is universal, not firmware dependent, it should work in all fws up to 4.xx.
Did you try to manually apply it? replace the libaudio.sprx?

Edit:

I just manually applied the patch (since i don't have the pkg) on 4.87 and it is working good

Oh! Can you confirm you tried it on cfw and not hen ? If yes please attach or link the .sprx just to be sure I didn't pick the wrong one

there is no way to make it better unfortunately. however USB headset will have better sound than bluetooth.
 
Hey thanks for all of your amazing work guys, the program works beautifully on my cfw ps3 slim. However i recently got another phat ps3 and installed d-rex 4.84 to disable hdcp and i cannot use the installer anymore as it is saying my firmware is not supported.
If it isnt too much hassle could you please provide a 4.84 d-rex version.
 
I'm having the similar issue as masterhacker486. Everytime I try to launch the installer it just keeps popping up on screen saying firmware is not supported. I also have rebug d-rex 4.84 version. I even did try to reinstall the firmware but that didn't do anything. Keeps saying the same thing

download the patched file here. put it in dev_blind/sys/external. you may need to delete or rename the old one first if using ftp.
 
Hello. I'm on ferrox 4.87. I would like to try to do the manual installation but I can no longer find the patched file to put in dev_blind / sys / external (dead link). where can i find the file? to restore the settings, just reinstall the last ferrox?

here is one patched by louay. it is not the original one but i think it must be one he was using in his mod. when i find the original on my backup drive, i will upload it to mega since the original site seems to be down now.
