  1. Download this PKG (it works for CFW 4.82/4.84/4.85/4.86)
  2. Copy it to root of FAT32 USB or External Hard Drive
  3. Boot your PS3 then Install the PKG

  5. Click on Installer
  6. Confirm Reboot by clicking on Yes

    • When you plug your USB HeadSet again you will regain sound from your Headset and not from TV

Game Tested : Splinter Cell Blacklist audio from Headset :)

Credits : Thanks to Zer0xFF for reverse engineere the libaudio for CFW consoles and PS3Xploit team for including the patch for HEN consoles

FYI @atreyu187 @Naked_Snake1995 @Naxil @ISAK.M

@Niander466,@Naxil,@KFAQ can confirm for you that works :)

If you use Bluetooth Headset you will have low quality audio compared to using USB Headset

I'm on 4.84 cex and everytime I try to open it it says your firmware version is not supported?

you can try this file. if you use webman, place it under dev_hdd0/tmp and restart. if not using webman, place it under dev_blind/sys/external/

I use webman I placed it under tmp connected my headphones started up Legendary the game freezes twice with no audio afterwards I had to reinstall webman because that stopped working for some reason too I can't get it to work for some reason ‍♂️

Hey there.. great work guys.. I was wracking my brain trying to get my usb or even a bt headset to work, knowing it had before I jailbroke. It dawned on me I'd better see if there was a patch for this and lo and behold..

Couple (possibly stupid) questions though..

First, I'd prefer to have ALL audio come out of my headset, menus etc, not just game audio. is this possible?

Secondly, these patches don't work for ps2 games. I've gotten pretty deep into Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for ps2 and its the main reason I seeked this patch out to begin with, but sadly it no worky. Is there a way to make that happen?

Thanks for all the hard work and any forthcoming advice, lads.

sorry, no way to do either. no mod ever worked with ps2 games. all sounds can not be sent because the mod only swaps game audio with voice chat. it can not combine them.

the best solution is to get a piece of hardware that hooks up to the audio output and sends it to headphones. something like THIS. i am not recommend that product, only giving an example.

No worries, Coro, thanks for the speedy response.. and again thanks for all your efforts and contributions to the scene. No doubt you and guys/gals like you don't get enough thanks for all you do so just want to let you know how much its appreciated.

I'll peep out the kit you suggested (not recommended heh) sounds like that might be a way to go. I'd thought about something along those lines initially, but thought that there might be another easier way to go.

thanks again!

addition: I scoped out that headset thing.. funny as I used to have that exact thing. I'm thinking more along the lines of something that takes the optical audio and broadcasts via BT.. I have a couple raspberry pi's kicking around, perhaps I can MacGyver something. thanks again.

It doesnt work for me, well, i may know why, i'm, on 4.88 PS3 HEN. I just thought that it could work for me :(

I have webman, I've tried it but it doesn't work. I see that with or without that file, in audio device settings my Logitech G430 Gaming Headset appears, but it never sounds anything. Thank you very much for your answer. Best regards.

After registering the device, goto "Audio Device Settings". Change "Output Device" to your bluetooth device. Make sure you select "OK" when done! If you press circle, the changes will not be saved!

it just must not be compatable. sadly, some devices do not work properly even if they pair easily.

Thank you very much. I have switched from 4.88 CFW Evilnat to REBUG and with the libaudio.sprx file it works perfectly. You are a genius. Thank you.

What do you mean exactly ? i use my headphone with no problem

Is it a bluetooth headset my pulse 3d works 100% but I bought
Sennheiser HD 450BT

it is not compatable with sony's pulse headphones. other than that, i don't know. the only problem i"ve had is sometimes i have to re-pair or it will not connect.

i would try another bt device or just use usb. (usb sound is better than bt).

It's perfect on my pulse 3d
But I can't use it with a bluetooth headset is there anyway to get good quality?

the bluetooth hack will always be poor quality. using USB headphones will be better (but not perfect).

just USB as i said above

most bluetooth devices will work, but i do not know which will not work.
And will also work with ps2 games?
no. the hack needs either HEN or CFW to work. when a PS2 game is started, HEN and CFW are unloaded from memory and are not restarted untill the PS2 game is exited.
