Your FW is not supported!
Rebug 4.82 DEX Cobra 7.55

Any chance of making it work on a lower FW?

only install ONE pkg! i recommend using webman pkg (if you use webman).

if you have problems:

The Webman PKG did the trick, thank you.

The sound is very low though,
Is there a way to increase it?

What do you mean exactly ? i use my headphone with no problem

He is like me, he has a dual mode bluetooth set,
A headset mode, both speakers and the mic are working, but the sound quality is designed for voices so the quality is lower,
And a headphones mode, just the speakers working but a good sound quality.

As far as i can see the PS3 will auto pick and use the headset mod, so the sound quality is bad.

To change from TV speakers to your device, goto "Audio Device Settings". Change "Output Device" to your bluetooth device. Make sure you select "OK" when done! If you press circle, the changes will not be saved!

If your BT is turned on but there is no sound in game, press PS and goto "Accessory Settings", "Manage Bluetooth Devices", highlight your device, press triangle, and select "Connect". You may have to exit game, connect, then start the game again...

i tried raycon 100's that i have, and they connect and pair. but as soon as you try to change the output or input audio to raycon 100 it immediately disconnects. when you reconnect again, same thing happens. feels like it is stuck in some kind of bug loop.

Could you explain how to do the webman method? I probably messed up because i really dont know what im doing.

1st, I tried installing the pkg without webman, which obviously failed. I then removed the libaudio file from tmp.
After that i installed webman, and tried installing the pkg again, but im not sure i did it through webman, i just did it the old way. Is it supposed to be in some webman menu? Because it still didnt work.

I tried connecting a USB headset, i get sound for a couple of seconds, then no sound, then another 3 seconds of sound and no sound again. The sequence happens 3 times, then the sound just stops. On the audio device menu it always has the headset name (eksa e900 plus), but when the sound is out, it is greyed out, meaning i cant change to anything else.

Do you guys think it is incompatible?

I couldn't get this to work on 4.90 hen. I tried using a USB wireless headset but still no game audio. I even changed my input and output to my headset. Any fix for this?

not needed. it is included with hen, but you must turn it on. goto HFW Settings at top of Network column on xMB. look for libaudio on/off. (restart is not needed.)

Hey there, new to the forums and found this thread through a quick Google search. I first tried installing Louays patch which didn't work, and then found your comments about the libaudio patch included now in HEN and sure enough that did the trick! Should I be concerned though about having installed Louays patch? Should I be worried about conflicts or anything? Sorry for the extremely late and dumb reply.

i would reinstall the latest hen just to be sure. you may have to turn it on again after that.

I tested it on two headphones (JBL TUNE520BT and RE-NY013) and three games (MCLA, GTA V from the original disc (MCLA from a torrent), built-in (official) PS1 emulator with a disk image of the game Driver 1 (USA)) - the sound is not audible, although it says that it is connected. I selected devices from the menu.

I rebooted the headphones, they say Connected, but still no sound is heard. I check - they are connected to PS3. Model CECH-4008C, HEN (Russian) and firmware version is the latest for today. I remember that about 10 years ago I had USB headphones (two pieces),

I connected them to the PS3, but only the microphone with voice chat worked there, there seemed to be no sound from the game either. And it says that BT is enabled in HEN. Those USB headphones are either broken or lying around somewhere at home.

What should I do - I don't know, probably - try USB, maybe it will work. And the headphones themselves are 100% working on PC (W10) and Android 9. I have a 2012 Samsung TV (smart TV), but it seems to not support BT (which is strange in my opinion, perhaps due to the lower popularity of BT headphones at that time or for other reasons), but it supports 3.5 mm via resp. connector, but it doesn't seem to support USB headphones either (which is also strange).

Made an account just to say that the hen version broke my system, like bricked the whole thing. Very stupid and insane to disable auto-updates, wtf.

It can't break the system in any way, you should've done something wrong, reinstall your firmware again from the recovery menu and you should be fine.

Btw, this patch is no longer needed as HEN already has a toggle for this feature.
