Hello Everyone,
Not sure, if anyone of you knows the german programer Rene Rebe. He is actually doing some great stuff for the ps3 like getting linux running on it having access to the RSX graphicscard, so that graphic processes are not being emulated, but actually being processed by the graphiccard itself. There is more to come! OpenGL and so on!
In his last streaming on youtube there was a discussion, if it would be possible to get a n64 emulator running on PS3 (GameOS/Homebrew) and the answer was: YES! but of course with a lot of effort and programming. I think Rene is the one who could actually make this dream come true.
If someone wants to see this finally happening, please raise your voice with a thumbs up on a comment in his video on youtube (search this title: PS3, Sgi et al. Linux work at home^W office!). Go to the comments section -> Sort by newest -> look on comment that speaks about n64 emu on ps3 -> click the like button and maybe reply to the comment as well, so we can show Rene, that there is a lot of interest to it.
If you want to hear about the discussion about N64 skip to: 1:14:30 - 1:21:30 and 1:34:45 - 1:40:00
Please raise your voice, if you want to see this happen!
stay healthy,
