PS2 grimdoomer OPL v1.2.0.1-beta - PC cannot read SSD

I installed the grimdoomer OPL beta v1.2.0.1 months ago with no issues. I followed the instructions laid out in the Macho Nacho YouTube video
.

I formatted a Kingston 480gb SSD to exFAT, copied over a bunch of files and folders, put the SSD into my PS2 with the new OPL version, and have been using it since. However, today I took the SSD out of the PS2 to add more games to it and now my desktop is unable to read the disk. I run Fedora Linux. My exFAT driver is the most recent version. There is no reason I can think of that would make the disk unreadable. I also tried with my MacBook and MacOS cannot read the drive either. MacOS has native exFAT support.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I don't want to have to reformat my drive and lose everything on it.

What fsck says about this partition?

Does exFAT support in Your Linux is from kernel or via fuse?

Does issue appears after copying games to exFAT partition or before You did that? On many Linuxes, for external storage, there is turned on async mode, instead sync, which means, Your Linux could fool You that data has been copied while it was copying in the background. Some idiot thinks it will be cool feature, so, since then many people breaking their storage because of that. ;} Good practice is changing politics for target fs, fstab etc. etc. or just invoke sync to be sure that nothing waiting to write or nothing is writing.
