We all know that most aspect ratio fixes created for PS2 are extremely limited, fixing only the aspect ratio (obviously) and the game's FOV, not least because documenting interface elements thoroughly is quite laborious and nobody would have the patience to do this. . Nobody? Perhaps, because I did a first test here of what could be a wave of new widescreen fixes for the PlayStation 2, and I even chose to call the project the "Modern" Widescreen Fix Project, and decided to start with one of the most requested ones, GTA: San Andreas (from NTSC version 1.03) so you don't have to look at that oval radar blast while you play it on your PlayStations anymore, but enough bullshit, let's get to what's changed in total:
- FOV has been changed to be the same as it is in 4:3
- Sky now bugs less with FOV fixed (experimental)
- HUD and Radar almost fully fixed
- A lot of the game's pause menu has also been fixed, making it more pleasing to see
- Fixed 2-player mode, working perfectly with 16:9 aspect ratio
- A (very)reduced version of SilentPatch for PS2 included in the download - just small stuff
- Outlines in text fonts instead of drop shadows
If you want to install directly on the ISO image, download the file 399A49CA.pnach and Install using PS2 Patch Engine
If you want to leave the patch for OPL to load (so you don't need to install directly to the ISO and you can load the patch in any modified version of GTA San Andreas NTSC 1.03), download the file SLUS_209.46.cht
Compatibility: GTA San Andreas - NTSC v1.03

Thanks: ThirteenAG - His widescreen fix code gave me some help when I was kinda lost.
