h-hencore how to shrink the size to 11mb

This guide will explain what files can be deleted in order the reduce original size that is more then 200mb to around 11mb.

  1. First thing needed to do is follow the very first steps of this guide here until the step 4 is finished.
  2. Now that we have the folder app/PCSG90096 its time to start deleting files:
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\image\bg\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\image\ev\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\image\icon\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\image\stitle\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\image\tachie\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\movie\ "delete the mp4 video file"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\sound\bgm\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\sound\se\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\sound\sec\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\sound\voice\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\resource\text\01\ "delete everything inside this folder"
  • app\PCSG90096\sce_module\ "delete only libsmart.suprx"
  • app\PCSG90096\sce_sys\ "delete the manual folder, pic0.png and icon0.png"
That's it, now that all these are deleted go back to the tutorial i linked at the beginning and continue to Step 5.

Thanks also to user Splinet on reddit that tested deleting some other stuff that i wouldnt touch like libsmart.suprx,

Note: there are some tools already emerging after i made a post on reddit about shrinking the size of h-encore that automate the process for someone that doesn't want the hassle of doing this by hand, i haven't used any since i prefer do it manualy.

I assume this can be done after h-encore installation by navigating to the ux0:apps/PCSG90096 folder and deleting them using vitashell?

Yes can be done, but since im new to this vita stuff and seen some reports of people that deleted trough vitashell but the size didnt changed even after refreshing or rebooting i didn't put it on the guide, altough i dont know if they were doing it the right way after deleting on vita. so it's a matter of testing.

Might need to rebuild database to get the extra space back.

could be a database issue. I'm not sure if the app.db contains this information, but it does contain a lot of information. sending the game via qcma would update that file. opening the app may update it as well. it does on the ps3 with its indexer at least. it makes sense since game updates apparently must be reinstalled if you restore the system even if they're in the patch folder.
