PS4 Hacking the PS4 (PlayStation 4 Jailbreak)

I just had one of these given to me. It's on 5.55 is there any news on an exploit for that firmware?

On the list in the OP the last one says that it's the highest exploit available for public use. Which to me suggests there are exploits available, they just haven't been shared yet.
 
Do people still want the 5.05 console? I never play mine and I think I may have only played it 2 or 3 times. Where would a good place to get rid of it be?

gbatemp. you need around 500 posts to sell something though.. you can try ebay as well but only mention the firmware.

the cut off for 5.05 is around when god of war was released. I'd love for dragon quest xi to be playable was but it's not. however, in the news section of the switch, it mentions that dq xi will be the definitive version, since you can play in 16bitif you want. that's what the 3ds
that's like two games in one. :D

I feel the same way.. I've only played my system for 10 hours total.

I own a ps4 update 4.74
There was a problem with the CD reader and of course I can not update it anymore
But the holidays can not be fixed permanently
Another reader has brought the damaged place, but the machine is sending a message (ce-35888-2)

I'm a bit gutted to be honest, as i barely used my PS4 it was on 5.05.. But my jerk of an ex friend decided to sign into his account to download some games, only to find he couldn't on my PS4 or they wouldn't work/needed a PSN subscription/had to be on his old PS4 etc.. But of course this updated it to like 5.72 or something.. I could cry xD
 
should always disable internet if you're on 5.05. enabling/disabling download/install updates automatically thing is broken with the system. also, there's a payload to prevent updates by placing dummy files in the update folder (it's permanent, so it will remain after rebooting). I'd suggest doing that next time.
 
I had no idea it was exploitable at the time.. I wish i had :/ I just looked and it was on 5.03 until the dick of an ex friend signed in and it had to update to 5.55, which is what it's on now.. Ugh.. I hate him!!! As far as i knew at the time the max was 4.74.. Argh anyone wanna buy a PShit4 so i can get an exploitable one? xD seems i can't even remove his account now without connecting and updating..? Pieces of crap.. No wonder i hate Sony is there lol

I felt the same way when I updated to 4.07 just to grab an ugly dragon quest 30th anniversary theme from the JP shop. the system I have is the metal slim phat from Japan, so I wanted a dragon quest theme. it was used, so the theme had already been downloaded. a friend found the god link to the dragon quest theme that came with the console, so I have it now. I think themes use a generic license, so I was able to make a license for it. it works, but since the license is invalid, changing themes will lock the content again. it's on there permanently though, so it will remain even without hen being enabled. anyway, that was shortly before the exploit for 4.05 came out.
 
Can't say i feel your pain as yours is still exploitable and mine isn't any more.. Ugh.. Ah well, not like i'll miss it or even really use it lol I almost cried! xD well, torn between that and throwing the awkward looking doorstop out the window, really o.O I've used the Xbox One more than the PS4 which is saying something, i guess i would have been less wounded too if some so-called friend hadn't stolen all the Xbox One and PS4 games i had less than a month after picking them all up though.. Hmm.. Hopefully i'll randomly grab an exploitable one some day but i'd rather spend silly money on something more useful and worthwhile these days! Mainly a new cooker at the moment lol but perhaps i shall hope and cross my paws (lol) that 5.55 will get slapped at some point..
 
well, in either case, it's unknown when a new exploit would drop. the only thing I could toy with was a webkit userland exploit. the kexploit was on 4.05. I wouldn't lose hope in that. if it were me, I'd just stay where I'm at. btw, here's the theme:

btw, my controller was dead when I Just now turned on my system. that's how little I play it. it has a little slime on the controller. :D

Anyone know if they have found the exploits in 6.71 I don't want to update my console firmware yet cause I was waiting for the latest JailBroken update and the last one I see is a from a while back
 
Hi everyone. i'm a novice at this. got questions.
With a jailbroken ps4 does reigon of where u r in the world. does the quality of emulators differ? obviously are there specific files to download for specific emulators. i've had my xbox360 rgh'd and when playing the n64 emulator graphics were quite glitchy and lagged ablt too. have not done too much with my ps4 jailbreak besides just running the exploit. i really just want to run n64, ps2 games and offline too. not a big fan for online gaming. so if any pointers to leads on the forum will be great
 
Can anybody able to guide me to forums on successful running of mupen 64 on ps4 5.05? Also PS2 emulators? Also the hardware on what used to achieve this
