there is no ps4 jailbreak. there's an exploit that's pretty limited. if you're not on 5.05 or lower, there's nothing you can do but a webkit exploit. it's fun to mess around with a little, but there's not really anything substantial you can do with it without a kernel exploit. I can try and help, but I'm not as knowledgeable about that compared with the ps3 or 360 or even the wii u. I can get your games dumped and saves working if that's what you want. haven't tried linux or emulators.
 
Hello. There is a ps4 with firmware 5.05 without a drive. I can't initialize the hard drive, asks to restore through safe mode. Are there any alternative ways how to solve this problem?

sounds like a hdd corruption or a failing drive. did that happen after a kernel panic? I've never heard of that happening like that, but I guess it's possible. you may have no choice but to initialize (format) the drive.
 
The problem is not with the hard drive, but with the system recovery. Without an optical drive, it gives an installation error. After the firmware 5.00, the protection was done so that without the BD it could not be updated.
 
I have such a problem, I can't jailbreak 7.55, the message about low memory appears over and over again, can it be fixed somehow? The same on every host menu. Today I did the update from 6.72 to 7.55, everything was fine on the old firmware

we have a saying here, "keep on your firmware as low as possible". I dont know why you upgraded to 7.55 but well, getting those memory errors and kernel panics is a normal thing on 7.xx firmware (much worst on 7.55 though).

in short, those what you experience is normal thing on 7.55 firmware, you just keep trying and trying until the jailbreak sticks.

there's literally nothing you can do about it as a end user. if you want this to be fixed, well learn how to exploit the PS4 operating system the same level as thefl0w (who created this 6.72 - 7.55 jailbreaks).

thanks for the info I knew about it for a long time not to update it, but I was tired of curiosity. After many hours I found a solution and JB 7.55 starts immediately
