Was just curious, as I have learned more about kernel compiling I have found the write option in the config settings yet it gives a warning of danger to write to UFS? Why is that?
Try it but I believe it does not. First UFS2 mount must be ro, then remount to rw. Only after that You will get rw capability. For unknown to me reason.
UFS family filesystems support was never finished, never covering all UFS and probably no one testing it more than long time ago. Just guessing. This means write is potentially danger and can corrupt data. However, plenty of people writing plenty of data on PS3 HDD and PS4 HDD and no one ever said it killed his environment, so I considering it safe. But, be warned.
