Hardware 5.55 jailbreak out of India/Pakistan?

chances are unlikely that the ps4 scene will ever come close to the ps3 scene in terms of what you can do. the ps3 scene exists mostly due to sony's major F%$# up. they've since corrected that. it's pretty sad that the ps4 has been exploited to the point that it has. I mean does xbone have any exploits other than emulators in dev mode? I don't have an xbone, so I don't know.

personally, what I'd like to see in the ps4 scene is a dedicated file manager instead of having to use ftp. you cannot use fake signed saves with export/import function. I did try to restore one, and it came up as corrupted and not transferable. maybe export, then import? I'm not sure if that works, but the initial test isn't very promising. however, Kiiwii told me to use that function instead of ftp, so maybe it works?

also, it's a pita to dump dlc to create a pkg. afaik, there are two types of dlc with one being like the C00 games (i.e. just needs an unlock pkg centered around the content id). I think themes may (not sure) work this way as you can install a theme and its unlock (install unlock first), and it will work even after powering off. I think this sort of dlc might as well. the other type is a very convoluted method involving ftp, which is a pita for me, considering that I can't ftp to a computer that's now dead. :-/

€259, second hand, That's very expensive. Almost get a new PS4 for that , for example this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Playstation-Console-Marvels-Spider-Man/dp/B07FW59WB7/ , works out at €280, but you get a brand new spiderman game you could sell, or if you still have receipt for the spiderman you have already bought, take that back and get full refund.

I got a slim 500Gb for €200 on last years cyber Monday. it was actually €230, but came with 2 controllers and a game, and I sold one of the controllers to a friend for €30.

There are rumours of a 5.55 exploit, but nothing more. Its possible someone with access to the exploit (if it exists) will dump some newer games like spiderman

I searched on the dutch ebay called marktplaats that is owned by ebay but keeps a dutch style interface. I did not look at Amazon yet.

You cant imagine how much it sucks to have the brand new flashy Spider-Man, paid 60 euros for it and not being able to play it. Very frustrating. I will sell it to a colleague problem fixed but still I really wanted to play it and my kid too.

I think saves will no longer be usable with retail games. if you save with a fake signed game with original keystone, the keystone will be ignored. I think the passphrase of all 0s, which is how you get a normal save to work with a fake signed game, is meant to negate the pfs process. however, once you save, the save has then been altered. I did test this, and that's what happened. in either case, the save came up corrupted. exporting/importing also corrupted.

Yeah, annoying to have bought it and then it not work. anyway if you can sell your copy for full price or get refund, then buy the console off amazon with the spiderman game for €280, then you get the PS4 for only €220 in a way, not too bad really for a brand new console with full warrantee.

But there is rumor that they replace the motherboard and blu ray drive with a 5.05 version and is not exactly downgrade. But multiple shops have been doing it on large scale and it makes me wonder; how many motherboards can they have as spare; are they actually downgrading ps4s?

Lets end this case, you cannot downgrade a PS4, not with Software or Hardware.

I am sure the Dev Kits have QA Options for internal purposes, but a retail unit PS4, forget it.

The devs can barely put a permanent HEN on a PS4 without injecting payloads into the system and you are expecting a downgrade.

If there was a downgrade, people would already done it.

Don't fall for these 5.55 Jailbreak schemes, only belive it when you see it with your own eyes.

Even if the 5.55 Kernel is Private, i still dont belive there is a Kernel Exploit.

About the Motherboard and Blu-Ray change, yes if the board is registered on 5.05 or below, yes then you will manage to Exploit the unit.

What makes think that there could be some truth to these rumours, is the price, I find it hard to believe that a shop could replace the motherboard and bd drive and still make a decent profit at $65.

well it was done. i witnessed it first hand. A common friend suggested they are giving repaired ps4 motherboards for 65 usd (brought in from all over the world; or maybe china) and now the shopkeeper gets to keep good 5.55 motherboard. When 5.55 hen release, then they make their real profit.

My friend got it done 2 months back. no isses till now. god bless him

supposedly, the syscon keys have been found. there's an article about it on wololo from August 28th I believe. up 'til now, I know of no one who's put them to good use. a downgrade may require additional hardware, yes. @KiiWii posted some information about it, but there's a lot that's still unknown. I think the syscon keys would make the system think an update was genuine.

the syscon keys being found isn't exactly accurate. what's said is that they've been leaked which suggests more is known by the inner circle than what they've been saying.

there's mira. it seems to be alot of bugs with it though, which is why I never use it. I didn't jump up 5.05 'til it was safe to do so (allowing others to test it first), so I've pretty much done that with mira.

Hen is also giving problems like 5 of 10 tries. Hangs, crashes/powers off. Then need to press power button 2 times for the light to come on followed by disk check message. After boot no games list; need to restore app.db and appcont.db files. Using Al Azifs cached page, but its still worth it; apparently not all users have this issue.

unless a developer shows some proof its all just dreams. But anyway i will just service my teensy ++ and e3 flasher and be ready, loved the hardmod stuff (xbox 360 rgh and ps3)

its not about gaming, or being cheap; at least for me. I am not technically sound for helping the scene but as an end user it feels awesome when you guys find out new things and I get to try those.
