Having trouble getting the flash 9 plugin to pop up.

So whenever I go to the website on my PS3 of course(after deleting the cookies, authentication stuff... etc), I do not get any pop up, i saw the last thread of the person facing this issue, and they said try going to the ** ** www.ps3xploit.net > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com) > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com instead, no progress sadly, I only get this every time

change user or make a new user.

If when opening a Web page with a swf movie in it, both these statements are true

1. the Flash player plugin does not run the swf movie automatically.
2. you don't get a confirmation screen to allow the Flash player to run.

it means the plugin was permanently disabled (by user choice) in that user profile.

As Sony seemingly never gave a thought as to how users may re-enable the plugin later on, the only option left in such a case is to try again with a new user profile..

Sorry but I think we understood well enough but if ever we haven't then you will need to reexplain in greater details what you did & add screenshots.

If the Flash player plugin has been turned off permanently at some point by someone using the current profile in past years, it will no longer display a confirmation screen when you load a page with a swf movie in the browser, the swf movies will simply be ignored without any warning, that's normal browser behaviour given the manufacturer's implementation.

The Flash plugin configuration can take different values, you can check what your browser uses in your current profile folder ie /dev_hdd0/home/0000xxxx/webbrowser/settings.xml where 0000xxxx should be replaced with the current profile user id. If you only ever created one user profile, it will be 00000001 otherwise it may be a higher number, check the /dev_hdd0/home folder.
Editing the xml file to change the plugin configuration & try to re-enable it is pointless, the settings.xml file is automatically generated by the browser when it starts, any changes you make to it will be ignored & deleted.
The plugin settings are stored somewhere else, I never took the time to find out where.

Iirc this is the markup in settings.xml when the plugin has been turned off permanently:

<?xml version="1.0"?> <setting><plugin_confirm_status>3</plugin_confirm_status> <plugin_show>0</plugin_show> </setting>

He did understand you, it is you who did not understand him, it does not matter that its the first time hacking this PS3.

Are you saying it is a brand new PS3 that you got recently still sealed in its box?

Regardless, you should just try make a new user like has been suggested.

I am confident in saying that bguerville is in a better position to understand the issue than perhaps anybody else on the forum. He is the developer of the toolset you are attempting to use and so has a firm grasp on how the PS3's web browser works.

Anyway, I came to suggest what Coro and DeViL already have; the only known solution is trying with another user profile. Let us know how you get on after trying that :)

I did all of this I swear to god, I switched my account, reset my console, did every step right, but it didn't work, no pop up, I swear

And can you confirm you are on a good wired ethernet connection and you are on recent 4.80 or newer firmware.

It only works from 4.80 to 4.87.
